The Summer 2010 edition of the NCOTA member newsletter features an excellent article on North Carolina's Responsiveness to Instruction (RtI) Initiative. Response to Intervention (RtI) is a problem-solving approach to educating all students and preventing school failure which tailors evidence-based instruction based on student performance data. Students identified through early and frequent screening move through progressively intense intervention levels, or tiers, until they demonstrate proficient response.

Additional information on NCOTA's advocacy activities at the NC General Assembly, as well as a couple of e-communication efforts are also published.
