Children and Youth SIS

This session will examine the complexities of school-based occupational therapist compensation, including factors that contribute to salary variation, inconsistencies in compensation practices across the state, and their impact on recruitment, retention, and workforce sustainability. Participants will learn about current advocacy efforts to increase compensation transparency, review available statewide compensation data, and discuss the path forward. By increasing awareness, promoting informed decision-making, and equipping practitioners with advocacy tools, this presentation will support the occupational therapy profession by strengthening the school-based workforce, advancing compensation transparency, and fostering continued advocacy for equitable compensation practices.
