Artificial intelligence is rapidly changing health care, education, and daily occupations. This session will introduce occupational therapy practitioners to practical, ethical, and occupation-centered ways to understand and use AI without replacing clinical reasoning. Participants will explore how AI can support learning, documentation, ideation, environmental problem-solving, accessibility, and client-centered intervention planning. Using the Kawa Model and the concept of FLOW, the session will examine how AI may reduce barriers, support participation, and improve occupational engagement across practice settings. Ethical considerations, including privacy, informed consent, bias, over-reliance, and professional responsibility, will be discussed. Participants will leave better prepared to evaluate AI tools, use them responsibly, and help lead occupational therapy into the future.
